Games Convention Asia 2009

Games Convention Asia aims to create public awareness by showcasing the latest computer and video games. It also features entertaining information, media education and some dazzling events. It is a three-day event where a conference (for first two days) and an exhibition (entire three days) will be held. Game developers and students alike are encouraged to attend the conference to gain insights of current useful technology or trends employed in games development.

Due to my busy work schedule, I only managed to visit Games Convention Asia yesterday, with my family. I visited the exhibition grounds just to gain information on new and upcoming games by participating publishers. Fortunately, the crowd was not as huge as the annual IT fair which made walking around easier. As usual, the exhibitors are the Asia’s active publishers — IAH Games, Electronic Arts and New Era. Other exhibitors include Playcraft, GameAxis, and other games, hardware and peripherals sellers. We did not patronize every booth but managed to grab some goody-bags. We had to pass on those with terribly long queues.

A quick visit of my former company’s booth to took at their new and upcoming titles.

We queued for account registration to collect our freebies :)

We did not stay very long here. Nevertheless, I still managed to snap a few photos of some cosplay enthusiasts.
